  6. Strain the custard into a heat proof bowl and allow to cool at room temperature.
  7. Cover and place in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or until completely cool.
  8. Churn ice cream according to your ice cream maker’s instructions. Once completely churned, scoop the ice cream into a plastic container, cover and freeze for 4-6 hours, or until frozen solid.
